When to visit

We would like to cautiously welcome visitors back to The Manor House Garden using an online payment system whereby we can then allocate a time slot on all Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons in June, commencing June 9th.

Because of the limited numbers, we are not offering entrance to children, except for babes in arms or pushchairs(seated). Also, dogs are not allowed in.

We will offer delicious Maynard ice creams and sorbets but at this time we will not be serving tea or cake. There is only very limited seating under cover but there are lots of separate benches and tables scattered around the garden.

We are only able to accept Card payments for the ice cream and any books or pots available here in the garden. We are trying to avoid cash.

We will offer a general free introduction at 1.30pm and 3.30pm.  There will be no tours. But we do have a beautiful and informative guide book which you can purchase on the day for £5. There is also a virtual guide of the garden available from our friends at Candide, via their app.

You are welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy in the garden. However, please ensure you take debris home with you.

This is our policy for June 2020 only.

We will see how we manage the numbers and timing before announcing further opening times.
